Blogging on the back-burner (part 2)

We have decided that keeping up with this blog is just too much right now. We decided to just put in on a setting that required you to have "permission" to view, but that caused a few emails and calls -- I don't want to just get rid of the blog as I will lose all of the items on here and I hope at some point to get back to blogging on a regular basis. So, I have taken off the "permission" setting, but please know... it might be awhile before you see any updates.

In the meantime I will leave some statements for reflection:

"God, who foresaw your tribulation, has specifically armed you to go through it, not without pain, but without stains" ~ CS Lewis

"Seeking the Truth is far better than being right" ~Anonymous

"A man is as big as the things that make him angry" ~Winston Churchill

"Life without regret is not that there is no hurt back there, shame back there, wounds back there – it is that Christ has redeemed those thing and now has used those things to display His patience, His glory, His grace." ~ Matt Chandler

And from a favorite hymnal:

"My God, My Father, While I Stray"
by Charlotte Elliot, 1789-1871

My God, my Father, while I stray
Far from my home on life's rough way
Oh, teach me from my heart to say,
"Thy will be done."

Though dark my path and sad my lot,
Let me be still and murmur not
Or breathe the prayer divinely taught,
"Thy will be done."

What though in lonely grief I sigh
For friends beloved, no longer nigh,
Submissive still would I reply--
"Thy will be done."

Though Thou hast called me to resign
What most I prized, it ne'er was mine;
I have but yielded what was Thine--
"Thy will be done."

Should grief or sickness waste away
My life in premature decay,
My Father, still I strive to say,
"Thy will be done."

Let but my fainting heart be blest
With Thy sweet Spirit for its Guest;
My God, to Thee I leave the rest--
"Thy will be done."

Renew my will from day to day;
Blend it with Thine and take away
All that now makes it hard to say,
"Thy will be done."

Then, when on earth I breathe no more,
The prayer, oft mixed with tears before,
I'll sing upon a happier shore,
"Thy will be done."
