Reconciliation Day is a special day to patch relationships and to make amends. It's intention is to re-establish relationships between family, friends and couples. Life is too short to hold a grudge between those we love.
Since 1989, newspaper columnist Ann Landers has promoted April 2and as Reconciliation Day. She writes an annual article dedicated to this day. She posts and replies to readers' questions and issues on reconciliation.
The Ultimate Reconciliation:
Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. ~Romans 5:11
In our small group a few months ago we were studying the word "encouragement" and it was discussed that there is "encouragement day" one of several days that we can choose to celebrate. That has been on my mind for some time and so I started looking into what other "days" existed… over the next weeks and months I thought it would be fun to share some that I feel are worth mentioning and maybe a few that are just plan silly - like April 2nd also is Peanut Butter and Jelly Day! I hope you will check back to see the fun "days" ahead!!
In trying to clean up my site, I deleted and condensed this into one post… thank you for the feedback about the fun of having some "days to look forward to".
