Weekend fun

This last weekend we had such a great time enjoying the company of great people!

Saturday morning Sadie and I were invited to have breakfast with two of the most amazing teachers. Miss Black (3rd grade teacher) and Mrs. Klein (5th grade teacher). It was a totally special morning and we are so grateful for the time we had with them both!

Saturday afternoon we got to celebrate my sister-in-law, Lauren, birthday.

Saturday afternoon we went to Glazed and Amazed where you paint pottery. The girls both received gift cards for their birthday and were SUPER excited to go make a project.

"Should I do this one? Samuel would love it!" (Samuel is our dear friend who loves all things bugs, you can go to his site bugs blog and learn tons!)

Sunday we had a great day; after church we had some friends over for some good talks, good food and always laughs.

Today (Monday) Syrah celebrated the end of another soccer season. This is the last year with Coach Sheala and we will miss her. She has an amazing way with these kids and we are sad that next year Syrah won't be under her tutelage. Thank you Sheala!

Soccer Season

It's another soccer season... Syrah is loving it!!

Final Soccer Game and Party

Syrah’s Soccer team, the Green Sharks, celebrated their successful season (meaning, they all learned more about the game and enjoyed their time playing) by having a celebration on Friday night. The kids each got trophies… Syrah is very proud of hers. They had a great night celebrating their season.

Syrah had a really great time playing soccer and has a talent there we didn’t know was there before. Saturday afternoon was their last game. One of the highlights of the game was one of the team members came out of their shell big time and found their inner soccer star – he made about 10 goals… it was amazing!!!



Syrah made her final goal!! You can’t see Syrah (promise she is there), but you can see the ball going through the goal and catch a small glimpse of her green shirt behind the other team.

Syrah got her first goal at her game on Saturday; it was so exciting and she was thrilled! She took the ball all the way down herself and scored!! She had so much fun and really has gotten into the game much more then even last week!

After each game the kids line up and give each other five and congratulate each other on a game well played!!

Soccer Star

Syrah had her first big game last weekend. She had a ton of fun and was so excited that some of her family and friends came to cheer her on! I have given her a new name... Tigger; she bounces through the entire game. The kids are cute and it isn't about who scores the most goals, but about how much fun they all have together.

Syrah started soccer a few weeks ago; she has practice once a week and her team consists of all Kindergartners from her school (not necessarily her class). She LOVED her first week and ever since has looked forward to going. Her first game is this weekend, so look for a few more pictures then (hopefully some better shots!).

Last day of swim 2007!!!

The girls have been in swimming consistently for over a year now, they have both taken lessons in the past, but this is the longest stretch they have been in swimming. They both LOVE to be in the water and have been progressing very well in lessons. Yesterday was the last session of 2007!

Sadie took a break this last session because of surgery, but has been back in the water for therapy and during Syrah's lessons she has been able to get in for some fun! She will be back in lessons the middle of January!

Syrah's last day at Gymnastics

On Monday Syrah completed her first session of Gymnastics. She has had a really great time running and tumbling and showing of some pretty amazing flexability.
